About me
Born in 2002, Andrea Fulaz comes from Monfalcone, in the province of Gorizia, Italy.
From a young age, he approaches the world of music, starting to attend preparatory choral lessons already at the age of 5.
He continues his choral activity at the "Audite Nova" association, under the direction of Maestro Gianna Visintin, taking part in numerous concerts and competitions nationally and internationally (Trieste, Milan, Garda, Verona, Mantua, Vienna, Prague).
He approaches the piano in 2011, studying predominantly classical music privately and taking some exams at the "G. Tartini" Conservatory of Music in Trieste.
Since 2017, he has continued his piano activity at the "Incontro" association, first under the guidance of Maestro Cristian Cosolo and, starting from 2019, he has been followed by Maestro Marco Ballaben.
In 2019 he published his first composition for solo piano, followed by numerous other pieces and arrangements for both solo piano and mixed trio or quartet.
In the summer of 2022 he performed several times in the scenic Piazza Unità d'Italia in Trieste, taking part in the musical evenings at the "Caffè degli Specchi".
At the same time, he participated in the First Piano Competition "Città di Azzano Decimo", presenting his piece "Dove volare le aquile" for the Piano Composition category, finishing second and winning a live performance at the Mascherini theater in Azzano Decimo.
Subsequently, he took part in the 11th International Music Competition "Città di Palmanova", competing both as a composer and as a performer of his unreleased "Pathos".
To date, he continues his studies with Maestro Ballaben, who supported the creation of his first two albums, "Ephemeral" (2022) and "Essence of life" (2023). Each contains ten songs, linked by a central theme that characterizes and makes each of his musical collections unique.
In the summer of 2024, he recorded two singles with solo vocals in the studio, for the first time including a female voice thanks to the collaboration with a young local singer.
His third album, "Frequency of emotions", is also in the making, and is scheduled for release by the end of 2024.
His compositions are emotionally deep, full of unexpected dynamics and with a melancholic streak. Each song is accompanied by a short quote that introduces and deepens the meaning of the title of the song itself.
His songs are born from the inspiration that everyday life can offer: the passing of time is governed by emotions, labile and ephemeral, which must be interpreted and musically transcribed before they vanish irremediably.
